The inspiration behind the cup is to reveal how gaslighting works on a person’s emotions. When the user puts drinks into the cup, the nose inside will be drowned. It will be “saved” from drowning when the user finishes drinking from the cup. The emotion we try to convey is by emulating the feeling of kissing, which is what happens when you directly drink from the cup, whilst simultaneously convey the message that gaslighting and emotional manipulation may look like the expression of love, but it is still dangerous and sometimes invisible in a relationship.
